A Custom Etsy Store Setup

Magic Beyond Midnight (MBM) is an event design company that specializes in handmade creations. They also offer total event planning and management. Jenna and Regina, the owners and creative masterminds behind MBM turned to Refined Impact to overhaul their website. They built their old website using the Wix Site Builder platform. The Wix site didn’t give them the flexibility they needed to properly convey the unique products and services they offer. It also wasn’t generating any leads!

During the planning stages of their new website, Jenna and Regina expressed interest in being able to sell their products on their own web site. Up to that point, they had used Etsy exclusively to sell products online. Their Etsy store was quite successful, having sold to thousands of clients around the world. With a dedicated client base on Etsy, Jenna and Regina wanted to sell their products there. It gave them greater exposure, and provided their customers with a trustworthy payment processor.

Can you have a custom Etsy store setup within your website?

Was there a way to develop a custom Etsy store setup that could integrate into their new website? This presented a challenge for us…and we love a challenge. We set out to find a way for visitors to shop their Etsy store without leaving the MBM site. With the help of some third-party developer plugins, we were able to create a custom Etsy store setup within the Magic Beyond Midnight web site. The custom store allows visitors to browse, shop, and add products to their cart all from within the MBM site. When they’re ready to checkout the custom Etsy store setup sends them to the Etsy web site, where they can pay and complete their order. With this solution, Jenna and Regina are able to use Etsy for their inventory and billing while offering a seamless shopping experience on their website. As a result of this integration their website has seen increased traffic, and their sales are up over 20%.
