Are there a set number of signs you are a Disney World SuperFan? Probably not, but I have my own list to share with you.
Exactly one year ago I moved from NJ to FL to bring Refined Impact to clients in the Orlando area. Something you may not know about me is that I enjoy spending my free time at Walt Disney World, and live just 5 minutes from Disney property. I used to visit Disney a few times a year before I lived here, and now I visit several times a WEEK! While I don’t usually write posts like this on the company blog, it’s something I truly enjoy talking about and wanted to share that with you all!
Without further ado, here are the 10 Signs You Are a Disney World SuperFan!
10. You Find Hidden Mickeys Everywhere, Even At Home
Around the house and in public, you’re spotting hidden Mickeys outside their normal habitat.
9. You Know All The Words to “There’s A Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow”, and Sing Along With Them!
Despite the fact that the less enthusiastic members of our Disney traveling party don’t like the Carousel of Progess, we still make it a point to ride it…and sing along! “There’s a great big beautiful tomorrow, shining at the end of every day!”
8. You Know the Real Story About the Yeti Inside Expedition Everest, and Wish It Were Still Working
When Expedition Everest first opened in 2006, the Yeti did a lot more than stand there. Due to structural issues, the Yeti no longer moves but strobe lights give you the illusion that he’s swooping down to grab you from your seat. There’s some more info over on the MiceChat forums if you’re curious…
7. You Have Considered Investing in the Disney Vacation Club Instead of Buying a House
Not the smartest financial decision you could make, but we all know you thought about becoming the newest member of the Disney Vacation Club…if only to get that exclusive DVC “magic bandit” to put on your magic band. FYI: I’ve done the math and, if you take the annual dues into consideration, you could spend upwards of $200,000 over the 40 year span on a DVC membership.
6. You Know Which Rides Warrant a FastPass and Which Ones Are a Waste
Your friends made a FastPass for TestTrack instead of Soarin? Don’t they know that TestTrack has a single rider line, and Soarin doesn’t? Amateurs.
5. When Texting About Disney Parks You Use Acronyms
Dropping our bags off with a Bell Services CM at AOA, then heading to MK for EMH, then over to DAK for the Safari, then DHS for Fantasmic. Did you make your ADRs for dinner? I hope so (CM = Cast Member, AOA = Art of Animation Resort, MK = Magic Kingdom, EMH = Extra Magic Hours, DAK = Disney’s Animal Kingdom, DHS = Disney’s Hollywood Studios, ADR = Advance Dining Reservation)
4. You’ve Been On At Least 1 Disney Guided Tour
Yes, there are “tunnels” under Magic Kingdom. Yes, I’ve been in them.
3. You’ve Walked From Casey’s Corner to the Main Street Barber Shop In the Rain Without Getting Wet
Raining? No problem, we’ll take the dry route through every shop on the west side of Main Street without having to step foot outside.
2. You’ve Entered or Exited EPCOT Through the International Gateway
Wait in a long line to get into EPCOT? Never. I take the express route from Beaches and Cream!
1. You’ve Planned At Least 1 Disney Trip…For Someone Else!
Yes, I’ll help you plan your Disney vacation…it’s what I live for!
